About Us
Yas Plaza Hotels by Aldar Hospitality is a lively group of six international hotels based in the center of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The destination combines leisure, comfort, and recreation, creating a complete Yas Island experience for guests.
Role Overview
This position is for a Ken Fix It to support the hotel’s day-to-day maintenance needs. The role focuses on carrying out general repair and upkeep work to help keep the property operating smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle routine maintenance and repair activities across the hotel.
- Support general upkeep of fixtures, fittings, furniture, and other property elements.
- Assist with basic carpentry, gypsum board work, doors, cabinets, and similar handyman tasks.
- Carry out simple painting and polishing jobs as required.
- Work on basic air-conditioning, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.
- Read and follow safety guidance, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and related procedures.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should have prior exposure to the hospitality sector, ideally in a Ken Fix It role or a similar maintenance position. A diploma or technical trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical is preferred. Practical knowledge of painting, polishing, carpentry, gypsum board work, doors, cabinets, and general handyman tasks is important, along with a basic understanding of A/C systems, plumbing, and general upkeep. The ability to understand safety rules, awareness materials, operating instructions, and procedure documents is also required.
