Born is hiring a junior to mid-level creative with an art or design foundation. The ideal person is driven by making standout work that earns attention in award annuals, on message threads, and in real conversations. This role suits someone who gets restless when strong ideas are watered down into average execution and who wants to contribute to work that people genuinely talk about.
The team is open to candidates from either a large agency background or a more independent path, but the key requirement is the energy and mindset to help uncover great answers rather than expecting to have everything figured out already. The company is also looking for someone who wants to work in a fun environment and bring a strong sense of attitude and creative drive.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative ideas that are memorable, original, and well executed.
- Contribute work that can stand out in industry awards, internal discussions, and public conversation.
- Bring strong creative thinking to projects and help shape solutions with the team.
- Work closely with colleagues and communicate comfortably in person.
- Support a collaborative studio culture with humour, energy, and genuine care for the work.
Requirements
- Must be based in Sydney.
- Up to 4 to 5 years of experience.
- Preference for candidates with a design background.
- Strong creative instincts and a genuine drive to make excellent work.
- Comfortable speaking with coworkers face to face.
- Good sense of humour and a thoughtful, invested approach.
- Willingness to move to Sydney from elsewhere in Australia or New Zealand if not already local.
