About the role
Grob Aircraft is looking for a Junior Flight Test Engineer to support flight test campaigns for its aircraft programmes in Bavaria. The role focuses on helping move an aircraft from design and development into certification by preparing test equipment, collecting and processing data, and contributing to the evidence required for approval.
The company has a long history of building aircraft in Bavaria, including trainers and advanced composite structures. A key programme is the G120 TP, a turboprop trainer used for military pilot training worldwide. The team continues to refine and advance this aircraft as part of its ongoing development work.
What you will do
- Plan and support the layout and installation of flight test equipment.
- Calibrate systems and prepare test data for further analysis.
- Organise and coordinate flight test briefings and debriefings.
- Prepare documentation for test activity, including test cards and test orders.
- Maintain configuration control records.
- Process and document test data and manage related administration.
- Help prepare certification reports.
- Take part in ground and flight testing alongside the test pilot.
What the employer is looking for
- A completed degree from a university or university of applied sciences in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Flight test experience is an advantage.
- Flying experience is helpful.
- Practical workshop or production-floor experience with aircraft or electrical components is a plus.
- Programming skills in Python.
- Experience with flight test instrumentation is beneficial, especially Curtiss-Wright KAM-500 or Axon systems.
- Familiarity with EASA certification requirements.
- A structured, analytical approach and a cooperative mindset.
- Strong written and spoken German and English skills.
