Role Overview
This full-time Junior Accountant position in Dubai is focused on keeping financial records accurate, current, and well maintained. The role also involves supporting finance-related coordination with external parties such as banks and auditors when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee petty cash handling and ensure the fund is used appropriately for small operational expenses.
- Maintain accurate logs of petty cash receipts, payments, and reimbursements, and complete regular reconciliations.
- Authorize and issue cash for approved business needs such as office supplies and travel-related minor costs, while making sure the right approvals and documents are in place.
- Monitor the petty cash balance and initiate replenishment requests to the finance team when the fund needs topping up.
- Follow company policy and internal control standards to protect cash resources and reduce the risk of misuse or fraud.
- Prepare recurring reports and maintain organized documentation for all petty cash activity, including variances or exceptions.
- Coordinate with employees, vendors, procurement, accounts payable, and other stakeholders on petty cash matters and related approvals.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants should be fresh B.Com graduates with CA or CMA, or hold an MBA (Finance).
- CA Inter or CMA Inter candidates may also be considered if they are a good fit.
- Current students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree should not apply.
- Relevant work exposure of 0 to 3 years is required, preferably gained in the UAE.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, is expected.
- Exposure to ERP systems, banking or transaction processes, and audit-oriented work with proper controls is important.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to work closely with senior management, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines are essential.
