IT Security Specialist / Engineer

Role Overview

Emdad By Elm is hiring an IT Security Specialist / Engineer to help build, operate, and improve enterprise security platforms and the controls that protect IT infrastructure. This role focuses on securing systems, endpoints, identities, data, and remote access while working closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and continuously maintain enterprise security platforms and infrastructure-level protections.
• Operate security solutions including WAF, proxy services, web filtering, EDR/XDR, and email security gateways.
• Apply hardening measures, access restrictions, encryption, and network defense settings across systems.
• Administer identity and access management tools such as IAM, PAM, MFA, and SSO.
• Oversee endpoint protection, patching activities, and device security controls.
• Connect and automate security controls across servers, network components, and cloud-based environments.
• Assist with SIEM integration, security automation, and fine-tuning of controls alongside cybersecurity specialists.
• Deploy and support data protection technologies such as DLP, PKI, and encryption solutions.
• Maintain secure remote access setups and VPN configurations.
• Prepare and keep current documentation for security architecture, system settings, and operational procedures.
• Work in coordination with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to strengthen detection and response readiness.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should bring practical experience in enterprise security infrastructure management and a solid grasp of perimeter protection, endpoint defense, access management, and data security. Strong documentation skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams are important for success in this role.
