Role overview
Infosys is hiring an IT Consulting professional to work from Bengaluru East, Karnataka. In this role, you will help lead consulting engagements and deliver practical, high-value solutions for clients across the full lifecycle — from understanding the problem and diagnosing it to designing, building, and deploying the solution.
What you will do
- Take ownership of engagement delivery by guiding consulting efforts and ensuring the solution adds real business value.
- Assess consultant-prepared proposals, offer direction, and evaluate proposed solutions for possible risks and gaps.
- Spot change management needs and recommend a structured plan for helping clients adopt change through the right communication channels.
- Coach team members, set direction for the group, share subject matter knowledge, and encourage high performance through timely feedback and recognition.
- Contribute to unit-level and organization-wide initiatives while following company standards, processes, and quality expectations.
Skills and knowledge expected
- Sound understanding of software configuration management systems.
- Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and cross-industry perspective.
- Familiarity with current technologies and market trends.
- Sharp analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative approach.
- Working knowledge of two or three industry domains.
- Understanding of financial processes across project types and awareness of pricing models.
- Confidence in client-facing discussions and stakeholder interaction.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices.
- Capability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
Primary technical focus
The role references experience with Mainframe Technologies, C# (C Sharp), and Angular JS, along with Information Expert-level knowledge in the mainframe domain.
