Information Technology Specialist

Role overview

The Saudi Heritage Preservation Society is looking for an Information Technology Specialist to support the organization’s daily technology needs in Riyadh. This on-site, full-time position focuses on keeping systems stable, assisting employees with technical issues, and making sure the network and IT tools run smoothly.

What you will do

• Deliver everyday technical assistance to staff and respond quickly to IT issues.
• Set up, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and related systems.
• Watch system health and performance, then act promptly when problems arise.
• Administer user accounts and access rights in line with internal controls.
• Support network reliability across LAN/WAN and connected infrastructure.
• Apply IT and security policies and follow cybersecurity best practices.
• Work with vendors and external service providers whenever specialized support is required.
• Record procedures and maintain clear documentation for IT processes and support activities.
• Assist with digital tools and platforms used in heritage-focused projects.
• Coordinate with teams across the organization to ensure technology solutions match business needs.

What the role requires

• Strong grounding in core information technology concepts and practical experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience in network administration, including setup, monitoring, and upkeep of LAN/WAN systems and related infrastructure.
• Solid troubleshooting ability to diagnose and fix hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.
• Working knowledge of network security, including basic firewall administration and access control.
• Ability to provide user-focused support, explain technical matters clearly, and train end users when needed.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS, common productivity tools, and helpdesk or ticketing systems.
• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Capacity to work on site in Riyadh, handle multiple priorities, and collaborate in a multicultural, mission-oriented workplace.

This role is full-time and based onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position also supports the organization’s heritage-related digital initiatives and requires coordination with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
