Role overview

This contract opportunity is for an Information Security Analyst working remotely in the United States. The assignment is part-time with a weekly commitment of about 10 to 40 hours. Compensation ranges from $25 to $60 per hour.

Key responsibilities

Keep a close watch on security events, investigate suspicious activity, and help protect systems and networks from cyber threats.
Carry out routine security reviews and risk checks to uncover weak points and possible exposures.
Put security controls and protective practices in place to strengthen the organization’s network defenses.
Work alongside IT personnel to raise and maintain the overall security standard across systems.
Create, refine, and share security guidelines and operating procedures so the organization can stay compliant.
Act quickly when incidents or breaches occur to limit damage and reduce risk.

Required background

Applicants should bring solid hands-on experience in cybersecurity and penetration testing, including experience with social engineering assessments.
Strong capability in threat identification and network protection is expected.
Clear written and spoken communication skills are important for this role.
The person must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
A sharp analytical approach and strong problem-solving ability are needed.
