Housekeeping Lecturer

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-informed faculty member to teach Housekeeping and closely related hospitality subjects. The role is suited to someone who combines academic capability with practical hotel experience and can create an engaging, industry-relevant learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Take lectures as well as hands-on practical classes for Housekeeping and connected hospitality topics.
• Design lesson plans, slides, assignments, and evaluation materials.
• Train and guide students with an industry-focused approach and provide mentoring support.
• Organize classroom exercises, demonstrations, and workshops to strengthen applied learning.
• Assess student progress through tests, projects, and practical examinations.
• Assist learners with internships, placement preparation, and career direction.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and other academic initiatives.
• Ensure classroom discipline and uphold professional standards in labs and teaching spaces.

Requirements

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a well-known 5-star hotel is required, with preference for experience in the Housekeeping department. Previous teaching or training exposure will be an advantage. Strong verbal communication and presentation ability are important, along with solid knowledge of housekeeping operations, hospitality standards, and guest service practices. The ability to relate classroom concepts to real industry situations, plus a professional and mentoring mindset, is essential.
