Housekeeping Inspector

Role overview

General Hotels Corporation is hiring a Housekeeping Room Inspector for its hotel in Corydon, Indiana. In this role, you will help uphold room cleanliness and presentation standards, support the housekeeping team with day-to-day work, and keep housekeeping leadership informed about any issues found during inspections.

This position also includes helping with housekeeping-related office and back-of-house tasks, such as lost and found handling, answering calls, guest interaction, and other support duties as needed.

Key duties

• Review empty guest rooms each day in the assigned area and check occupied rooms when necessary.
• Verify that each room has the correct linens and guest amenities stocked to hotel standards.
• Confirm that guest rooms are cleaned properly and that the required daily cleaning assignments have been completed according to office instructions.
• Observe housekeeping staff while they work on the floor and immediately escalate any concerns to the housekeeping manager.
• Support housekeeping managers with office and back-of-house tasks, including lost and found, shipping, and daily office procedures.
• Step in to help with room cleaning or laundry work when needed.
• Contribute to special assignments or projects as directed.
• Keep a professional, welcoming, and helpful attitude toward guests at all times.
