Role Overview
Birkin Lodge Nursing Home in Tunbridge Wells, part of the Country Court family, is looking for a Housekeeper to join its care team. The home is located in Tunbridge Wells, around 10 minutes from the train station, and provides caring, family-led nursing and residential support in a setting designed to help residents feel secure and comfortable.
This is a part-time onsite position with 40 hours available per week, including weekend shifts on a rota. Applications for sponsorship are no longer being accepted.

Role Purpose
The Housekeeper plays an important part in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-organised environment for residents. The position helps support residents’ comfort, dignity, and daily living by ensuring rooms, laundry, and shared spaces meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Key Duties
Housekeeping work includes careful attention to detail, spotting anything that is out of place, and keeping resident bedrooms and home areas clean and hygienic. The role also involves washing, pressing, and folding residents’ personal clothing and bedding to a consistently high standard.

The ideal applicant will be proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to helping create a person-centred environment. You should be able to build positive relationships with residents and their families and contribute as a valued member of the team.
