Role overview
As a Grocery Associate with Walmart Canada, you will play a hands-on role in keeping the grocery department organized, well stocked, safe, and ready for customers. This position is suited to someone interested in retail or customer service who wants to build practical skills in a fast-paced store environment.
Key duties
- Keep the grocery department zoned and organized.
- Replenish stock, move products forward, and check items for expiry.
- Make sure merchandise is clearly signed, labelled, and priced correctly.
- Follow food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning requirements at all times.
- Carry out ordering, clearance, markdowns, markups, and related signing or flagging tasks using the correct process.
- Maintain full shelf availability so the department is prepared for customers and business operations.
- Follow health and safety rules consistently.
- Stock and pick merchandise, downstock when needed, apply product protection when required, and complete modular sets, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
Pay information
The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.50.
