General Warehouse Worker - Cleaning

What you will do

• Keep warehouse shelves, rails, and related areas clean
• Perform other connected warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements and qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old
• A high school diploma, GED, or home school equivalency is required
• You need to be legally permitted to work in Canada
• You should be available for rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Comfort with basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Previous warehouse experience or training is an advantage but not mandatory

Physical requirements

This position involves active physical work in a warehouse setting. The team member must be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear throughout the shift. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching are expected, while sitting, climbing, and balancing may be required at times. The job also requires lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus are also needed.

Work environment

The role is performed in a warehouse with moving mechanical equipment. At times, the job may involve working near elevated areas, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is generally loud.
