Financial Analyst I

Role Overview

Amazon is seeking a detail-focused, proactive, and analytical Financial Analyst I to work from Hyderabad. The role is designed for someone who can turn data into practical business insights, help improve financial processes, and support decisions that affect sellers, customers, and internal teams.

This position sits in a fast-moving environment where you will partner with policy, program, technology, product, and management teams to build scalable solutions. You should be comfortable working independently, handling large data sets, and communicating findings clearly to different stakeholders.

Work Location and Mode

The position is based in Hyderabad and requires working from the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process controls, and suggest updates that align with business priorities.
• Work through large volumes of information to identify important business metrics and patterns.
• Analyze trends, translate findings into recommendations, and support product and business teams with actionable insights.
• Coordinate with partner teams and stakeholders across regions to help achieve shared goals and build strong working relationships.
• Develop clear, structured, and audience-specific reports for the relevant functional area.
• Investigate issues in depth, perform root-cause analysis, and propose practical solutions with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 1 year of finance experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable.
• At least 2 years of experience using key financial performance indicators in analysis.
• Working knowledge of common tools such as Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA.
• Experience using data to shape business decisions.
• Background in corporate finance, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting.
