About the role
Royal York Property Management is hiring an experienced Executive Housekeeper to support the upkeep of a large private home in King City, Ontario. This is a hands-on household role suited to someone who has worked in private residences, estate properties, luxury homes, or hotel-style environments and knows how to maintain a home to a consistently polished standard.
The position goes beyond routine cleaning and includes detailed housekeeping, laundry, ironing, linen care, household organization, grocery shopping, household errands, supply restocking, and light vehicle upkeep. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, discreet, dependable, highly organized, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Schedule and compensation
This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday contract role based onsite in King City, Ontario. Pay is offered at $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The start date is immediate.
Responsibilities
- Keep the residence clean, orderly, and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Care for bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, pantry, living spaces, dining areas, hallways, staircases, basement, garage, entrances, balconies, and outdoor furniture areas.
- Handle thorough housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and cleaning glass, mirrors, fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, and other household surfaces.
- Take care of laundry, ironing, steaming, linens, towels, bedding, and regular sheet changes.
- Organize closets, wardrobes, storage spaces, laundry areas, pantry stock, and household supplies.
- Complete grocery shopping, household errands, and replenishment of everyday essentials.
- Provide light interior cleaning and organization for household vehicles.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or low supply levels.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an Executive Housekeeper, Estate Housekeeper, Housekeeper, Household Assistant, Maid, or similar private household role.
- Background working in a private home, luxury residence, estate property, or hotel-like environment.
- Good command of housekeeping methods, laundry care, ironing, linen handling, wardrobe care, and household organization.
- Proven ability to manage daily home responsibilities independently and without close supervision.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a dependable personal vehicle.
- Ability to travel to and work in King City, Ontario.
- Strong eye for detail and a consistently high standard of work.
- Professional, reliable, trustworthy, and discreet approach.
- Commitment to complete confidentiality in all household matters.
- Willingness to provide professional references, which will be checked during hiring.
