Role Summary
This contract opportunity is for an Excel expert to support a client with advanced spreadsheet work. The position focuses on building robust financial models, streamlining reporting workflows, and keeping data accurate across financial systems. The work supports multiple teams by turning spreadsheet outputs into insights that help guide business decisions.
Primary Duties
- Create and maintain detailed Excel-based financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Design automated reporting processes with Excel VBA macros and Power Query to cut down manual work.
- Check, clean, and reconcile financial data so records remain accurate and consistent.
- Work with finance and operations stakeholders to convert business needs into usable spreadsheet solutions.
- Record formulas, assumptions, and procedures clearly so the work can be reproduced and understood later.
Skills and Qualifications
- Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
- Proven ability to write, troubleshoot, and improve VBA macros for automation.
- Strong grasp of financial modeling methods and familiarity with Power Query and Pivot tools.
- Comfort translating business requirements into practical spreadsheet tools and reports.
- High attention to detail when working with calculations and financial datasets.
