Role overview

The Environmental Scientist will support environmental consulting projects through fieldwork, site assessments, data analysis, and technical reporting. This position is based in Tampa, FL and is offered as an onsite full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out field sampling for soil, groundwater, and vapor in line with project needs and applicable regulatory standards.
• Perform environmental due diligence work, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Review and interpret field observations, lab findings, and historical records to help develop technical documentation.
• Draft clear, accurate technical reports that follow established project and company guidelines.
• Keep current with changing regulations and industry practices relevant to environmental consulting.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in environmental consulting is needed.
• The role calls for strong analytical and problem-solving ability, along with the skill to evaluate and interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• The candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team while handling several projects and deadlines at once.
• Professional certifications are considered an advantage.

Compensation

The listed salary range is USD 65,000 to USD 85,000 per year. Pay above this range may be offered based on experience and qualifications.
