TITLE

EDRC HVAC Design - Design Engineer

DESCRIPTION

Role Overview Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Design Engineer for HVAC design work in its EDRC team. The role focuses on developing efficient, sustainable, and code-compliant HVAC solutions that meet project needs and support coordination across disciplines.

What You Will Do

Create HVAC system designs with attention to energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
Carry out load calculations and develop ducting, piping, ventilation, and life safety-related system designs.
Select suitable HVAC equipment based on design intent and project specifications.
Prepare drawings, layouts, and schematics for design deliverables.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate the design smoothly across disciplines.
Support senior team members during construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Assist with technical inputs for tender documents, including DBR, BOQ, and layouts.
Provide support for BOQ reconciliation activities.
Coordinate with modelling teams to develop layouts and help ensure a clash-free model.

Technical Knowledge Needed

The position requires working knowledge of HVAC design principles, along with familiarity with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and relevant local and international standards.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in the Greater Chennai Area.
