Donation Collections Van Driver

Role Overview

This is a hands-on route-based driving role focused on collecting donated clothing and household goods from donation sites across the community. The position is active, independent, and centered on keeping collection points organized and presentable while operating a company-provided Sprinter van.

Compensation and Schedule

The pay range for this role is $19.67 to $20.75 per hour. The shift starts at 5:00 AM and typically runs for 10 to 12 hours during the day. Availability from Monday through Saturday is required. The regular schedule is four 10-hour shifts each week, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays needed. During busier periods, preapproved overtime may be offered.

Key Duties

• Follow a planned route with several pickup stops each day.
• Load and unload donated clothing, bags, boxes, and household items.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Remove trash and other unwanted materials left around donation bins.
• Check the van and keep route logs or collection records up to date.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining a professional image for the organization.

Requirements

• At least two years of prior van driving experience is required.
• Experience driving passenger vans, parcel vans, cargo vans, or delivery vans is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with an acceptable driving record.
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation are necessary.
