Role overview

AVISA Global Solutions Private Limited is hiring a Director to lead Career Development & Placements at the MBU campus in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role that requires relocation to campus.

The position reports to the Pro Chancellor and leads the Career Development Centre (CDC). It is the first hiring priority in a rebuild phase, with the expectation that the selected leader will take complete ownership of placement outcomes, build a demand-led employer engine, strengthen the training-to-hiring pipeline, and create the commercial base for a regional staffing business supported by MBU student talent.

Compensation for the role is Rs 2,50,000 to Rs 3,75,000 per month, equivalent to Rs 30 to 45 lakh annual CTC.

Key responsibilities

  • Take full accountability for placement results, including genuine offer count, average and median CTC, and employer reach, and communicate these figures transparently to the Pro Chancellor.
  • Create and manage a strong employer acquisition engine with a named target list, clear new-logo goals, and a live funnel from contacted to engaged to drive to offer, with ownership assigned company-wise.
  • Rebuild the supply-side process so employability and training are checked against real hiring standards from product companies rather than assumptions.
  • Reduce dependency risk by ensuring no single person controls an outsized share of the pipeline.
  • Introduce accurate weekly reporting with clean data, including separate tracking with and without aggregator-driven hires.
  • Hire, induct, and develop the new 27-member CDC team across the three-phase expansion plan.
  • Design the business model for the staffing venture, including student-fee and company-fee structures, premium offerings, and expansion opportunities across other colleges.
  • Act as the senior face of MBU with corporate leaders, GCC heads, and recruitment partners.

Qualifications and experience

  • Overall experience of 12 to 18 years is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience should include ownership of large-scale campus or early-careers hiring at a product or IT company, or profit-and-loss responsibility in a recruitment or staffing organisation.
  • You should be able to show evidence of building employer partnerships from zero, including the companies you personally opened and the resulting hires.
  • Experience leading teams of 15 or more people and coordinating several functions is expected.
  • Strong comfort with data, dashboards, funnels, and board-level reporting is necessary.
  • A bachelor's degree is mandatory; an MBA or postgraduate qualification in HR or management is preferred.
  • You must be willing to work from the Tirupati campus.

Preferred background

  • Experience across both product and services hiring environments is strongly preferred.
  • A current and active network of recruiters and talent-acquisition leaders, maintained within the last 12 months, is desirable.
  • Exposure to staffing, RPO, or outcomes-linked models where compensation is tied to placement performance is preferred.
