Delivery Specialist

Role overview

Arla Foods is hiring a Delivery Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on completing deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule while representing the company professionally at customer locations.

Core duties

• Carry out the day’s delivery plan, making sure goods reach customers on time and in the correct condition, and obtain the customer’s signature and stamp before leaving the shipment.
• Load and unload products carefully, arrange deliveries in an orderly way, and keep priority items accessible so customer requirements are met efficiently.
• Deliver a professional, courteous customer experience and handle customer concerns promptly during each drop-off.
• Use time, equipment, and fuel efficiently to avoid delays and support smooth delivery operations.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle and equipment through regular upkeep, cleanliness, and operational checks so the vehicle always presents well to customers.
• Report any delays, route changes, breakdowns, or queue-related issues immediately to the line manager and keep the customer informed.
• Follow local laws and company procedures to ensure every delivery meets safety, quality, and reliability standards.
• Act as an Arla representative by being approachable, professional, and informed about the company’s products and values.
• Support a safe, inclusive, and collaborative workplace that contributes positively to both customer service and employee wellbeing.
• Protect food safety and product quality by handling items carefully and keeping them at the correct temperature throughout the delivery process.
• Reflect Arla’s values of good leadership, sustainability, and continuous improvement in daily work and customer interactions.
• Adopt Arla’s sustainability practices in your own area of responsibility.
• Ensure all required legal and vehicle documents are in place before and after deliveries, including Bayan, Driver Card, Istimara, Insurance, and Weight Card, and complete vehicle checks as required.
• Take part in training and development activities to strengthen skills and stay current with best practices.

Requirements

• A valid heavy-duty driving license.
• At least 3 years of experience working as a heavy-duty driver.
• Ability to communicate in English and Arabic.
