Debt Collector Associate

Role Overview

SYBYL is hiring a Debt Collector Associate to support overdue account follow-up work in Kampala, Central Region, Uganda. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity suited to a fresher who is comfortable working directly with customers in the field.

Key Duties

• Visit customer homes and business premises to pursue follow-up on unpaid balances.
• Speak with customers about their dues, explain outstanding amounts, and work toward practical repayment arrangements.
• Receive payments in cash, by cheque, or through digital payment confirmation, and provide secure official receipts.
• Record daily field activity, collection outcomes, and customer responses in the internal tracking platform.
• Carry out tracer work by finding updated contact information for customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.
• Make sure all recovery activity follows company procedures and relevant legal requirements.

Additional Information

This role involves regular travel for field visits to both residential and commercial locations. The work requires careful handling of payments, detailed record-keeping, and professional communication throughout the collection process.
