Role overview
This position is for a Data Scientist focused on using AI to create practical impact across wealth management. The work centers on building machine learning and generative AI solutions that turn data into actionable insights, support better decisions, improve business workflows, and solve business challenges. The role also explores how agentic AI can be applied to wealth management use cases.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to find opportunities where AI and machine learning can add value in wealth management.
- Apply generative AI and agentic systems to strengthen business results.
- Review and interpret financial information from multiple sources so financial advisors and clients can use the insights effectively.
- Develop and implement machine learning and statistical approaches that improve operational processes and support targeted marketing and sales for financial products.
- Use machine learning and generative AI to help analyze, explain, and guide client investment choices.
- Create documentation covering model performance, model review, and model governance requirements.
- Handle projects independently from start to finish.
Team and environment
You would join the Data Science group within the Smart Technologies and Advanced Analytics Team (STAAT) in Wealth Management Americas in New York. This team supports data science initiatives across different business areas and works as part of a global setup spanning the US, Poland, and India. The broader mission is to build AI and machine learning models that help the wealth management business make better decisions.

Compensation
The indicated annual gross base salary range for this full-time role in New York, United States is USD 105,000 to USD 130,000.
