What you will do
- Gather data from multiple internal systems and prepare it for analysis.
- Clean, structure, and maintain datasets so they remain accurate and usable.
- Use basic analytical and statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and performance indicators.
- Support the creation of reports, dashboards, charts, and summary materials.
- Explain findings in simple terms for stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
- Document approaches, calculations, and outcomes to keep reporting consistent and reliable.
- Work remotely with faculty, staff, and other data professionals on projects that improve student experience, efficiency, and planning.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical ability and a solid foundation in data analysis are needed to interpret information and support recommendations.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data modeling is required for simple modeling, hypothesis testing, and result validation.
- Clear communication skills are important for presenting insights and preparing easy-to-understand reports.
- Comfort with spreadsheet tools and beginner-level analytics software such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar tools is expected.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to handle several tasks in a remote part-time setup are essential.
