Overview
This full-time role is based at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and supports the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) through accurate recordkeeping, scheduling support, and front-desk coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain TAP workshop records with a high level of accuracy.
- Keep accountability figures current and organize sign-up lists for workshops and classes.
- Reach out to clients by email and phone to verify attendance for upcoming TAP workshops and seminars.
- Handle front desk tasks such as answering calls, booking appointments, and welcoming visitors.
- Assist the TAP manager with preparing classrooms and issuing laptops for training sessions.
- Log customer conversations, informal visits, and daily calls into the system.
Required Qualifications
- At least six months of experience in data entry or a comparable administrative position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Comfort using databases and managing sensitive information discreetly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with varied groups of people.
- Good organization and time management, with the flexibility to handle deadlines and changing priorities.
- Ability to work on your own while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
- Exposure to military procedures and family support programs is considered an advantage.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position. The role includes administrative support for TAP, along with classroom and front-desk assistance.
