Data Analyst

Role overview

We are recruiting for a partner company in the Haystack network for a Data Analyst position based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into clear business insight.

What you'll do

• Design, update, and improve dashboards and reports that help clients make informed decisions.
• Work closely with clients to understand what they need from reporting and convert those needs into practical data solutions.
• Build a strong grasp of the underlying data models and pipelines so you can explain outputs with confidence.
• Use AI-based tools to speed up discovery work and quickly test new dashboard ideas.
• Team up with engineering, product, and data functions on data migrations and platform transitions.
• Record data sources, business rules, and report definitions so stakeholders have clear documentation to reference.

What you need

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with at least 2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
• Practical SQL knowledge for querying, joining, and aggregating data from relational databases.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports in BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Exposure to relational databases and/or cloud data warehouse environments.
• Background in a client-facing or stakeholder-facing role, including gathering requirements and sharing findings.
• Comfort using AI tools for discovery, prototyping, or improving analytics workflows.

Compensation and benefits

• The annual pay range is $74,000 to $111,000.
• There may be additional compensation on top of base pay.
