Key responsibilities

• Work with business leaders to clarify reporting needs and create analytics that support strategic projects.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms.
• Draft and refine SQL queries to pull, structure, and analyze large, complex datasets.
• Spot patterns, surface opportunities, and deliver recommendations backed by data to improve business outcomes.
• Create KPIs and reporting frameworks that help measure operational performance.
• Share analytical results with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and persuasive way.
• Check data integrity, investigate mismatches, and help ensure reports are accurate and consistent.
• Record reporting workflows, business definitions, and data sources to improve scale and continuity.
• Suggest process enhancements that make reporting more efficient, reduce manual work, and improve data governance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by using analytics to identify operational opportunities.

Required background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar analytics position.
• Advanced SQL capability, including work with large relational databases.
• Practical experience with Databricks or Snowflake, with Databricks preferred.
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or Power BI, with Tableau preferred.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based and relational data environments.
• Ability to convert business questions into usable reporting and analytical solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and a track record of producing reliable, accurate data.

Preferred experience

• Experience using Python for analysis, automation, or scripting.
• Exposure to machine learning concepts or AI-assisted analytics.
• Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse best practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau LOD expressions or Power BI DAX.
• Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and the structure of Salesforce data.
• Exposure to tools such as dbt, Looker, Qlik, or Jira.
• Background supporting manufacturing, distribution, retail, or home improvement businesses.
