Copywriter

About the Role

Progressive is seeking a copywriter to join Ninety6, its in-house creative agency. In this position, you will help shape creative work across advertising, marketing, customer communication, and internal employee messaging. The work is fully remote and centered on turning strategic direction into clear, persuasive copy for a range of channels and audiences.

What You’ll Do

You will develop copy for email, direct mail, blogs, landing pages, display ads, social content, and other marketing formats. The role calls for close collaboration with a creative director and teammates across art direction, design, production, and marketing to deliver work that supports business goals and stays aligned with the brand voice. You will also shift tone as needed between practical, transactional writing and more conceptual, brand-led messaging to improve engagement and performance.

Qualifications

Applicants should have either a high school diploma or GED, plus at least six years of professional copywriting experience in an advertising or marketing agency, or a bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related liberal arts/humanities/advertising field, along with at least three years of copywriting experience in an advertising or marketing agency.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $61,300 to $98,700 per year, depending on the level of the role and the candidate’s experience. The role may also include a Gainshare annual cash incentive of up to 24% to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
