Role overview
Inizio Engage partners with a major biotechnology company across commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide disease-state education and educational support to selected healthcare professionals and office personnel in primary care and specialty settings. This role focuses on a designated disease area and must be performed in line with approved materials, program expectations, and compliance requirements.
What you will do
- Deliver detailed clinical education to healthcare providers on the relevant disease state and related management approaches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders by using approved educational resources.
- Work strictly within compliance, legal, and regulatory boundaries in all materials, conversations, and field activities.
- Operate within the client-defined parameters while collaborating with field partners.
- Complete required company and client training, along with competency checks, within the assigned timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily records of office interactions and all required reporting.
- Log time and expenses through the designated Inizio systems.
- Keep professional registration and/or licensure current as required by the company and applicable state law.
- Attend local or national meetings and conferences when requested to stay updated and share best practices.
- Care for client and company equipment and materials according to instructions.
- Follow company policy, the code of conduct, and applicable external industry rules at all times.
- Be reachable during working hours to answer questions and carry out assigned work.
- Hold a valid United States driver’s license at all times and notify the company immediately of any offenses or penalty points.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively, including travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
- Clinical Educators do not provide nursing services, medical or treatment advice, and do not promote pharmaceutical products.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a licensed healthcare professional, preferably a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse, with a strong background in a relevant disease area. The role requires confident presentation skills, the ability to educate physicians and office staff, strong organization, and the independence to manage a territory and competing priorities.
Experience and qualifications
- Current state license as a qualified healthcare professional; Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse is preferred.
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or a related field; respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
- Strong professional communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to present information to physicians and a range of office staff members.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, plus the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Proven capability to balance multiple responsibilities and territory demands.
- Self-driven with high motivation.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical knowledge.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel, and residence within the assigned territory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
