Role overview
As a Clinical Data Analyst, also known as a Clinical Informatics Analyst, you will support clinical research by checking that trial data is dependable, compliant, and fit for analysis and submission. This role sits at the core of clinical data work, spanning planning, execution, and closeout of study phases while helping maintain accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
What you will do
- Review clinical research outputs to confirm that results and conclusions are sound.
- Manage and monitor both internal and external data management activities.
- Adjust or enhance systems to support new use cases and improve workflow efficiency.
- Create clinical and operational reports for study and administrative needs.
- Examine, extract, combine, and assess study data to ensure compliance, quality, and correctness, and support quality improvement efforts.
- Work closely with study management, clinical operations, clinical data management, biostatistics, and other teams to define analysis needs and ensure the work produces useful results.
- Identify required resources, build project plans for data initiatives, and set timelines and milestones.
- Carry out data validation, reconciliation, and surveillance activities.
- Deliver training on technical systems and software tools.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to organize, code, and classify data accurately, manage several priorities at once, and approach problems with practical, innovative thinking. Strong communication and relationship-building abilities are important, along with the ability to work independently, pay close attention to detail, and navigate complex situations involving study teams, data management, biostatistics, and regulatory stakeholders.
