Role overview

Haven is hiring a Cleaning Services Operations Assistant to join its team in Clacton-On-Sea. This permanent, full-time position pays £13.71 per hour and plays a key part in keeping guest areas clean, safe, and welcoming.

What the role involves

You will support the day-to-day running of the Cleaning Services function, helping to coordinate work across the team while also handling a mix of practical and administrative duties. The role covers planning tasks, supporting team organisation, and making sure operations stay efficient and compliant.

Key duties

• Work alongside the Cleaning Services Team Manager to plan, prepare, and support daily department activity.
• Help manage stock, staff rotas, recruitment, onboarding, training, and team development.
• Track budget performance, complete safety and compliance checks, and ensure legal obligations are followed.
• Monitor daily cleaning standards, respond to feedback, and introduce improvements to keep the environment clean and guest-friendly.
• Split time between on-site operational work and administrative tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a coordinator, assistant, or administrator role within cleaning or facilities operations is helpful, though not essential.
• Strong ability to organise and plan operational work for larger teams.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, guest-facing setting with multiple priorities.
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills.
• A strong desire to help deliver an excellent guest experience.
