Civil Engineer

Key duties

• Support the Construction Manager and take responsibility for day-to-day management of assigned construction activities.
• Supervise works carried out near sensitive existing infrastructure, including SPPG tunnel, GTP, and PUB areas.
• Act as a coordination point between the client, consultant, and subcontractor/vendor teams.
• Monitor site activities through regular inspections and checks to ensure work is progressing correctly.
• Identify, assess, and resolve technical and engineering issues that arise on site.
• Make sure all work follows the required safety procedures and regulatory standards.
• Verify that construction operations meet quality, environmental, health, and safety expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for construction activities.
• Work effectively with the wider project team and demonstrate strong interpersonal collaboration.

Requirements

• A Civil Engineering degree recognised by the Singapore PE Board is required.
• Must be registered as a Resident Engineer with IES/BCA and hold a valid Singapore certification.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience is needed for candidates with the required civil engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision for vehicular structures and road projects.
• Applicants should be progress-driven and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Strong technical understanding of civil engineering construction, particularly piling and reinforced concrete works, is expected.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge or certification in CSCPM, BCSS, confined space, and work-at-height safety is needed.
• Candidates should be self-driven and able to provide effective leadership.
