Role Summary
The Chief Technology Operations Officer (CTOO) is a senior, full-time remote leadership position focused on running daily technology operations and keeping EigenLayer’s infrastructure and platforms reliable, scalable, and secure. The role directs cross-functional operations groups and ensures technical execution stays aligned with business goals and long-range product direction. It includes ownership of production environments, process improvement for incident handling and change control, and definition of key measures for uptime, cost effectiveness, and operational exposure.
Key Focus Areas
- Lead day-to-day technology operations across production systems and platform services.
- Coordinate incident response and change management workflows to improve stability and speed of recovery.
- Set and monitor operational metrics tied to availability, efficiency, and risk.
- Work with engineering, product, security, and finance stakeholders on planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Assess technology investments and help prioritize tools, systems, and infrastructure spend.

Qualifications

- Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills for working with leadership teams and cross-functional partners.
- Working knowledge of finance concepts related to technology operations, including budgeting, cost control, and return-on-investment evaluation.
- Proven senior leadership experience in technology or operations, preferably in fast-growing or infrastructure-oriented organizations.
- Helpful experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams and fostering inclusive, high-performing cultures.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
