Chemistry Expert - Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a Chemistry Expert to support the development of next-generation AI systems through high-quality domain input. In this remote contract role, your chemistry knowledge will be used to help improve how models understand, reason, and respond to scientific information. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine scientific papers, datasets, and technical chemistry documents, then interpret the findings accurately.
• Create, refine, and evaluate challenging question-and-answer content that helps strengthen AI comprehension.
• Use analytical methods to pull out important insights from the source material.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain scientific precision and clear communication.
• Support documentation efforts and contribute ideas for improving internal processes.
• Review model responses and system behavior, then share subject-matter feedback to improve performance.
• Protect the accuracy, relevance, and consistency of chemistry-related information used in the workflow.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, or in a closely related discipline, is required.
• You should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in academia, a laboratory, or an industry environment.
• Strong ability to understand, analyze, and summarize technical literature and research studies is essential.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is expected.
• You must be comfortable with data retrieval, computation, and analytical reasoning tasks.
• This role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision while producing reliable output.
• Careful attention to detail and a commitment to scientific accuracy are important.

Preferred Background

• An advanced qualification such as an MS or PhD in Chemistry or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience developing educational content or assessment-style material would be beneficial.
• Exposure to interdisciplinary work involving areas such as physics or biology is welcome.
