About the role
Goode Brothers - Bethlehem is a Kiwi-Italian gastropub that combines Italian-inspired flavours with a fresh New Zealand personality. The venue is looking for a capable Chef de Partie to strengthen its kitchen team.
What you’ll do
You will own your section of the kitchen, handling mise en place and service so every dish leaves the pass to a consistent standard. In this role, you’ll partner with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to stay on budget with food costs, uphold quality benchmarks, and support the development of junior staff.
Another key part of the job is leading Pasta School sessions. You’ll be expected to demonstrate techniques clearly, engage confidently with guests, and present comfortably to a group to help create an enjoyable, interactive class experience.
What they’re looking for
The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of relevant experience in a similar kitchen role and hold an NCEA Level 4 qualification in cookery. You should be comfortable managing a section independently, keeping timing and quality under control, and contributing positively to a close-knit team.
