Business Continuity Manager

Role overview

This full-time remote position is for a Business Continuity Manager with Association de Défense des Valeurs de l'Institut Paul Bocuse in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on building, operating, and improving the organization’s continuity and resilience setup so it can keep functioning through disruption.

What you will do

• Design and maintain the business continuity and resilience framework.
• Carry out business impact analyses and identify essential processes.
• Develop continuity, recovery, and disaster recovery plans with teams across operations, IT, and leadership.
• Perform risk assessments and support scenario planning and simulation exercises.
• Make sure continuity practices are aligned with enterprise risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Keep documentation current, track key continuity indicators, and prepare management reports.
• Coordinate incident response activities and lead post-incident reviews.
• Train and guide stakeholders on continuity procedures and related responsibilities.
• Support ongoing improvement of continuity plans and strengthen a culture of resilience.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in business continuity planning, including the development, testing, and upkeep of continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Strong understanding of business resilience and enterprise risk management, with the ability to connect continuity work to wider risk controls.
• Analytical strength to review data, conduct business impact analyses, and turn insights into practical risk actions.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives, leading workshops and exercises, and working with varied stakeholders in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills for producing clear procedures, documentation, and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, information systems, or a similar field.
• Professional certifications such as CBCP or ISO 22301-related credentials are considered advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously, juggle several priorities, and stay composed and structured during incidents or pressure situations.
• Familiarity with continuity and risk standards such as ISO 22301 and ISO 31000, plus comfort using digital collaboration tools for remote work.
