Role overview
KUA N AIK HONG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a BIM Modeller to support civil and structural engineering projects in Singapore. The role involves working with clients and consultants, building accurate BIM models, and keeping project documentation aligned with approved standards and site updates.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and consultants on BIM modelling tasks, using Revit to support coordination work.
- Assist in planning and design support for civil and structural engineering assignments.
- Prepare project base files and make sure they follow the approved BIM Execution Plan, BIM Scope Plans, and CAD standards.
- Stay open to learning new digital design tools and methods.
- Maintain the accuracy of construction documents, parameters, and model information used for BIM work.
- Work in line with the BIM execution plan and the workflow requirements for BIM projects.
- Create drawings and 3D models for construction, coordination, and as-built deliverables.
- Revise models and CAD drawings based on changes observed at site.
- Check work carefully for correctness and completeness, and submit outputs within required deadlines.
- Take on other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Preferred qualifications include ITE, Diploma, or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) field; a Specialist Diploma in BIM or VDC is an advantage.
- At least 2 years of combined CAD and BIM experience is required, and 5 years of local work experience is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and other BIM-related software is needed.
- Good command of legacy CAD tools and practices, especially AutoCAD, is important.
- Familiarity with design visualisation tools such as BIM Collaborate and Navisworks is expected.
- The ideal candidate should show a dependable, responsive, and positive attitude, with strong integrity.
- Ability to create training material, conduct effective training, and support ongoing learning is required.
- Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines consistently.
