Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Barista at ESCAPE CAFE in Ahmedabad. The selected candidate will prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages, while also assisting with simple food prep for snacks and light café items.

Key Duties

• Take guest orders and handle service at the counter.
• Prepare coffee, tea, and other café drinks using coffee equipment.
• Assist with basic preparation of snacks and light menu items.
• Keep beverage quality consistent and maintain service standards.
• Process payments and support routine cash handling tasks.
• Welcome customers, respond to menu-related questions, and provide helpful service.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the counter, service, and seating areas.
• Refill supplies and coordinate with the team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Follow hygiene, cleanliness, and safety practices at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should know how to work as a barista and have hands-on experience making coffee and other café beverages. They should also be comfortable with food preparation for snacks and light meals, and be able to deliver polite, efficient customer service. Good communication and people skills are important for working with guests and team members. Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods and keep up with a busy service environment. Basic payment handling and familiarity with point-of-sale systems will be an advantage. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, is expected.
