Role Overview

Qatar Airways is hiring seasoned Airbus FBW family Type Rated Captains to join its growing flight operations team in Qatar. The airline is known for operating a modern fleet and serving a global network of more than 150 destinations.

Eligibility and Experience

• You should have at least 6,000 hours of total flying experience on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial airline operations, specifically on a jet aircraft with an MTOW of 50,000 kg or more.
• A minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command on an Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft is required. Eligible aircraft types include A380, A350, A340, A330, A320, and A/F.
• Alternatively, candidates may qualify with either 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial airline jet operations with an MTOW of 50,000 kg or more, or 1,000 hours as PIC on such aircraft while currently flying on one of the listed Airbus FBW types.
• You must hold a current ICAO ATPL with a valid instrument rating on one of the specified aircraft types.
• A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate issued by the same authority is required, and it must remain valid for at least 2 months after the start date if selected.
• English language proficiency must be at least level 4.
• Your last flight on one of the specified aircraft types must have been within the previous 12 months.
