Role overview

The company is looking for a highly technical AI Lead Product Developer who can combine engineering depth with product thinking. This role is focused on designing, building, and scaling advanced AI-powered applications and platforms as part of the company’s growing AI cloud capabilities.

The position requires someone who is comfortable being hands-on with development while also shaping product direction, user experience, workflows, and system architecture. The work will center on next-generation AI solutions using retrieval-augmented generation and generative AI.

What you will do

• Own the full product development cycle for AI platforms, from product design and architecture to implementation.
• Design and build retrieval-augmented generation systems, including ingestion flows, embeddings, vector stores, and orchestration around large language models.
• Create scalable AI and machine learning solutions, especially generative AI and LLM-based products.
• Convert business needs into technical product plans, user journeys, workflow logic, and architecture visuals.
• Work closely with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to deliver meaningful solutions.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services that support AI workloads.
• Shape UI/UX decisions so the product remains intuitive and efficient for users.
• Prototype quickly, test ideas, and refine AI features through repeated iteration.
• Maintain focus on scalability, performance, security, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Apply MLOps practices for deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and ongoing model improvement.
• Create feedback mechanisms that improve relevance, accuracy, and user satisfaction in AI systems.
• Identify technical risks early and drive actions to reduce them.
• Take part in monthly team meetings, team-building activities, technical discussions, peer reviews, and knowledge-sharing through the internal wiki or knowledge base.
• Provide status updates to account management when needed.

What we’re looking for

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 3 or more years working on AI/ML or data-driven products.
• Practical experience building retrieval-augmented generation solutions and applications powered by large language models.
• Hands-on knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search methods.
• Strong programming ability in Python, along with experience using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Ability to translate product requirements into scalable technical and UX solutions.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, vector indexing, and retrieval optimization techniques.
• Nice-to-have experience with tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Exposure to prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and LLM evaluation practices is an advantage.
• Awareness of AI governance, responsible AI, and data privacy principles is preferred.
• Background in SaaS or enterprise platform development is beneficial.
• Prior experience launching AI products from scratch is a plus.
• Front-end exposure and a strong sensitivity to UI/UX are desirable.
• B.Tech or B.E. in Information Technology.
