AGE Supervisor

Role overview

The AGE Supervisor oversees production activities within the AGE shop and makes sure day-to-day operations run in line with mission goals. This role partners with the AGE Superintendent to put production and operational objectives into practice, leads and develops shop employees, and checks that maintenance work is carried out to the required technical and quality standards. The position also ensures adherence to USAF/Amentum technical guidance, the Performance Work Statement (PWS), and the Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key duties

• Lead and coordinate the work output of Lead AGE Mechanics.
• Serve as the main trainer for AGE department programs and equipment.
• Complete and maintain all required records and documentation.
• Review troubleshooting and repair work performed by Lead AGE Mechanics.
• Prepare employee performance appraisals for the AGE department and maintain related records.
• Coach employees when needed or when instructed by the AGE Superintendent.
• Carry out scheduled inspections and audits using current SOPs and work instructions.
• Check HAZMAT paperwork for transport and everyday use.
• Inspect servicing and maintenance activities for all assets currently in use.
• Conduct training assessments and keep training records up to date.
• Operate material handling equipment when required.
• Set standards for team members, apply quality assurance practices under ISO 9001:2015, and provide feedback on work performance.
• Follow all USAF and Amentum safety, hazardous materials, and quality requirements.
• Carry out TDY travel within the area of operations as directed by USAF/Amentum tasking.
• Prepare production and man-hour utilization reports for review by the AGE Superintendent.
• Implement programs and build tracking systems as directed by the Superintendent.
• Cover the AGE Superintendent’s responsibilities during absences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Work in office, maintenance shop, or warehouse settings, and be prepared for extended outdoor work when needed.

Minimum qualifications

• Strong computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Working knowledge of military or civilian maintenance systems, quality assurance practices, and supervision.
• Ability to repair and maintain gasoline, diesel, and gas turbine engines.
• Ability to interpret electrical and electronic systems using wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Valid home-country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host-nation driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Practical understanding of flow charts used in the maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance organization.
• Ability to obtain and keep facility credentials/authorization; US citizenship is required for this work location.
• Must follow PPE requirements for assigned tasks.
• Physically able to carry out all job duties, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred background

• 8 years of AGE experience, with training to USAF Craftsman level or an equivalent apprenticeship or military-service pathway.
• USAF AGE training and RED X Certified inspector status are preferred.

Compensation

The estimated total compensation for this role is $58,000 to $61,800. The final offer may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market conditions, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
