Advertising Assistant

Role overview

The Advertising Assistant will support the advertising team with day-to-day administrative work, including preparing ad production materials and handling invoice-related tasks.

What you will do

• Coordinate the creation of advertising materials, including opening jips, monitoring media visuals against schedules, and preparing and sending insertion orders to media partners.
• Work alongside the marketing team on strategy development and help carry those plans through implementation.
• Track events and contribute to meeting performance targets.
• Review and process invoices, keep the invoice register current, and organize financial documentation.
• Share monthly billing details with the Accounting Department.
• Support the Advertising Director with preparation of the annual advertising budget.
• Keep media files and the media library updated and organized.
• Track media spending to help ensure the department stays within budget.
• Build working knowledge of media processes in preparation for broader media-related responsibilities.
• Assist with online advertising initiatives and help drive daily advertising operations.
• Strengthen understanding of networking setup and advanced technology tools as needed for the role.
• Learn about regional marketing channels and develop relationships with Regional Marketing Sales Representatives.

This role sits within GUESS?, LLC.'s in-house Advertising team in Los Angeles. The department is known for its creative work and for shaping and protecting the global Guess? brand image across multiple media platforms. It also receives direct support from founder and CCO Paul Marciano.

Education and experience

A bachelor's degree is required, and the employer is looking for someone with 0 to 2 years of experience.

Compensation

The stated pay rate is $17.28 per hour.
