Florida Crystals is a major U.S. sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar business, managing the product journey from farm to table. Role Overview

This entry-level utility maintenance role focuses on keeping mill premises and equipment clean and maintained. The position involves routine use of cleaning tools and products, and may occasionally require working at heights, using ladders, and moving along catwalks.

Key Duties

• Use brooms, mops, and other cleaning materials effectively to maintain the work area.
• Work in elevated areas when needed, including climbing ladders or using catwalks.
• Carry out cleanup tasks after work activities and respond to spills as needed.
• Inform the supervisor about any irregularities or concerns in the department.
• Support quality-focused work and maintain attention to detail.

Safety and Work Requirements

• Wear required protective equipment throughout the day, such as hearing protection, eye protection, hard hats, and safety shoes, along with any other job-specific PPE.
• Complete mandatory annual safety training.
• Be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and any hour of the week as required.
• Maintain strong hygiene practices and follow industrial safety standards.

Experience and Education

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical or welding experience is preferred.
• No supervisory responsibility is associated with this role.
