About the role
Jobright is an AI-powered career platform focused on helping people discover opportunities faster and in a way that feels more tailored to them. The team is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to the core product and the infrastructure behind how users discover their next role.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and support backend services, APIs, and user-facing frontend functionality across the product.
- Help power the systems that run AI agents and the experiences people use on the platform.
- Own well-defined features from design through production, collaborating with senior engineers on architecture and code reviews.
- Convert product needs into readable, maintainable code while clarifying uncertain or incomplete requirements.
Requirements
- Recent graduate with a degree in computer science, software engineering, or another closely related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Clear communicator who can explain technical choices and ask for support when needed.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and the basics of production software development.
- Preferred: internship or project experience in a software engineering role, ideally in a tech or AI-oriented environment.
- Preferred: proof of shipping real software in environments where priorities and requirements change often.
- Preferred: practical experience with Python, TypeScript, or a similar modern language, plus exposure to AWS or GCP and SQL-based systems.
