Senior Technical Developer (Performance Engineering & Kubernetes)

About the Role

As part of the Pega Consulting India team, you will partner with project teams and customers to ensure the delivered solution’s technical architecture aligns with the client’s business needs. You will work directly with clients, Pega development teams, and Experience Design teams to shape effective technical design approaches.

What You Will Do

• Use your technical expertise to help clients succeed and deliver modern, customer-centric solutions.
• Guide team members, partners, and clients with practical direction on scalable and resilient system design.
• Coach colleagues on newer technologies used within Pega Infinity.
• Provide technical governance and support across one or more initiatives for a single client or multiple clients.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and handle technical questions as they arise.
• Collaborate with leading clients and partners throughout the software delivery lifecycle to produce strong technical outcomes.

What You Bring

• 6 to 9 years of experience, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field/experience.
• Deep hands-on background in performance engineering, Kubernetes-based deployments, and tuning large distributed enterprise systems for scale, resilience, and high availability.
• Experience running cloud-native workloads with Kubernetes, microservices, and related cloud technologies; Kubernetes or cloud certifications such as CKAD, CKA, CKS, AWS, Azure, or GCP are preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience handling technical and non-functional requirements that are essential to client success, including architecture, containerization, and cloud technologies.
• Solid understanding of clustered application setups and distributed systems.
• Experience packaging and deploying software in containers such as Docker.
• Working knowledge of databases and platforms including Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL systems such as Cassandra.
• Ability to align technology choices with customer requirements.

Additional Qualifications

• TOGAF, Cloud Architect, or a comparable certification is desirable.
• Certification in one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Pivotal, or similar is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, application servers, relational databases, non-relational databases, NoSQL databases, Java/J2EE, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Hazelcast is expected.
• Strong capability to provide thought leadership across business and technical topics.
• Experience mentoring or coaching team members is important.
