Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to join a rapidly expanding fintech startup in Singapore. The role focuses on building and scaling core financial infrastructure that supports payment products and other mission-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, develop, and support backend services and distributed systems that can scale reliably.
• Create secure, resilient, and fast systems for financial product experiences.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering counterparts to ship user-facing functionality.
• Own technical design choices, system architecture, and key engineering decisions.
• Improve engineering quality through code reviews, operational discipline, and continuous system enhancements.

Experience and Background

• You should bring at least 3 years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems is expected.
• We are seeking someone who thinks from a product perspective, takes strong ownership, and solves problems effectively.
• Prior work on highly available and high-performance backend services is important.
• Experience in startups or product-led technology companies will be considered an advantage.
• Background in payments, fintech, wallets, transactions, settlement, risk, or trading domains is a plus.
• Candidates from any programming language background are welcome.
