Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations role sits within Corporate Development and reports to the VP of Strategy & Operations. This is a full-time, exempt position based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area with a hybrid working arrangement and global scope.

In this position, you will lead high-impact strategic workstreams and turn them into concrete outcomes. You will collaborate across the CSO organization on strategy planning, market intelligence, investor-focused support, and cross-functional initiatives, while helping the CEO and senior leaders make decisions backed by rigorous analysis and clear communication.

The role is central to improving execution, strengthening operational effectiveness, and moving company priorities forward. It calls for strong strategic judgment, analytical depth, disciplined operations, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll do

• Run cross-functional programs end to end, including timelines, deliverables, and success measures.
• Build repeatable processes and workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and overall business performance.
• Keep teams aligned so strategic initiatives progress smoothly and stay on schedule.
• Work with executive leaders to assess growth opportunities, operational improvements, and organizational priorities.
• Create board- and leadership-ready recommendations, business cases, and strategy decks for senior stakeholders.
• Perform market research, competitor analysis, and business performance reviews to guide decision-making.
• Contribute to mid- and long-range planning across products, markets, customer segments, and functions.
• Draft executive communications, leadership updates, and meeting materials for internal and external stakeholder interactions.
• Spot opportunities to use AI and automation to raise productivity and streamline operations.
• Assess new technologies and suggest practical ways to apply them across the business.
• Help roll out and drive adoption of AI-enabled workflows and scalable operating solutions.

What you'll bring

The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, ideally from MBB or another top strategy boutique. Backgrounds in SaaS, technology, or other high-growth businesses are preferred. Experience supporting executive teams and enterprise transformation work is also important.

You should be highly analytical, structured in your thinking, and comfortable solving complex problems. Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with familiarity with AI-based productivity tools, workflow automation, and business intelligence platforms.

This role also requires comfort working independently in less structured settings. You should be adaptable to a candid, fast-paced culture that values innovation, healthy debate, accountability, and follow-through.
