Senior Manager - Construction

About the Role

This position focuses on managing the delivery of high-rise residential and mixed-use projects at Godrej Properties. The role is centered on keeping construction on schedule, maintaining strong quality control, optimizing costs, and ensuring full compliance with safety and statutory standards. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to keep project milestones moving smoothly.

Core Responsibilities

You will oversee site execution from day to day, making sure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines. This includes ensuring structural, finishing, and related activities are completed on time without compromising quality.

The role also requires you to identify site-level delays or obstacles early, coordinate solutions, and keep construction flowing efficiently. You will be expected to uphold all safety, legal, and quality requirements across the site.

In addition, you will manage coordination with contractors, consultants, and vendors for the scopes assigned to them. This includes reviewing their performance, checking progress against targets, and giving execution and technical inputs during tendering and award discussions.

You will participate in regular review meetings with contractors and project management consultants to resolve issues related to progress, quality, manpower, and resources. You will also contribute to short-term and long-term planning in coordination with planning teams and PMCs, while tracking progress against approved schedules and triggering corrective action when needed.

Material readiness is another important part of the role. You will work with procurement and contracts teams to ensure materials and services are available in line with project needs, while monitoring consumption against schedule requirements.

Cross-functional coordination will be essential, including working with design, contracts, finance, and procurement teams to resolve execution issues. You will conduct regular inspections, review PMC observations, and drive corrective and preventive actions related to quality and safety.

You will also prepare periodic status updates covering progress, resources, risks, and overall project health, and share these with the Project Manager, Operations Head, and Regional Head. The role includes supporting handover activities and closing punch points to help ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.

Experience Required

The role calls for 18 to 20 years of relevant experience.
