Role overview
Treaty Software in Limerick is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of business-critical customer projects using agile ways of working. This is a hands-on testing position within a collaborative agile squad, working closely with technical leads, developers, business analysts and scrum masters.
The main focus of the role is to protect software quality and help ensure reliable releases for customers. Strong communication and interpersonal ability are important, since day-to-day work involves close coordination with a range of stakeholders. This opportunity is well suited to someone who is enthusiastic about modern QA practices and wants to grow their career, including a graduate QA engineer looking for the next step.
The position is based in the Limerick office on a hybrid arrangement: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home each week.
What you will be doing
- Support an agile team culture and help maintain a positive, productive working environment.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality software within agreed deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and positively with colleagues at all levels, individually and in groups.
- Take part in continuous improvement activities within the team.
- Work with ownership, accountability and a proactive attitude to completing tasks and managing your workload.
- Partner with business analysts, scrum masters and technical leads across the planning, design, development, testing and maintenance of web and mobile applications.
- Create and run automated test plans.
- Define test cycles and assess test quality.
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria to confirm they are suitable for use.
- Convert technical requirements into practical test plans.
- Write detailed and traceable test scripts linked back to requirements.
- Carry out functional, regression and integration testing across a range of enterprise systems.
- Work with the technical lead and development team to drive defect resolution.
What we are looking for
- A degree or higher diploma in computing, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience testing web and mobile technologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools, including Playwright.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Strong knowledge of UI and API test automation.
- Understanding of web and mobile technologies, including usability considerations.
- Ability to adapt quickly when testing different solutions.
- Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to travel if needed.
