Role overview
This is a contract opportunity for an experienced Project Scheduler to support a global pharmaceutical organisation in Shanbally, Cork. The role sits within a biologics and manufacturing setting and involves planning and controlling schedules across technical development and operational programmes.
What you will do
- Create, maintain, and improve detailed project timelines in Microsoft Project for several technical workstreams.
- Map milestones, dependencies, and key deliverables from project launch through to completion.
- Work alongside Project Leads and Managers to support planning, schedule tracking, and delivery coordination.
- Carry out resource loading, forecast demand, and assist with headcount planning across the portfolio.
- Prepare schedule reporting such as actual-versus-planned analysis, S-curves, and adherence metrics.
- Handle schedule revision requests, update risk registers, and assess the effect of changes on delivery plans.
- Support governance routines, stakeholder updates, and regular project status reporting meetings.
Experience and tools
- You should bring at least 5 years of experience managing schedules for technical or operational project portfolios.
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Project is essential.
- Hands-on exposure to planning platforms such as Planview is strongly preferred.
- You need a solid grasp of capacity planning, forecasting, and workload analysis.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or other technical environments is important.
- You must be comfortable managing complex schedules, dependencies, and reporting expectations.
- Strong analytical ability and confident reporting skills are needed, including milestone tracking and governance documentation.
- PMP certification is required.
Additional information
